As a Field Support Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert for installations, training, and technical support. If you’re passionate about precision, proactive troubleshooting, and delivering exceptional customer experience, this is your chance to make an impact.
🕰️Hours: 35 hours per week
📅Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00
💸Salary: £33,600 to £35,700 dependant on experience
🚘Car Allowance: £6,700 per year
📍Location: Remote/Field covering north of Birmingham
This role is a UK based role and any hybrid/remote work must also be within the UK.

Technically strong – You have experience in installations, technical support, or technical enablement, with a solid understanding of IP networking (routers, switches, DHCP, LAN/WAN).
Skilled trainer – You’re able to break down complex concepts into clear, accessible guidance and enjoy supporting others to build their technical capability.
Natural problem-solver – Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues—whether remotely or on-site—is where you shine.
Highly organised and adaptable – You manage your workload effectively and remain composed during busy or fast-changing situations.
Qualified and ready – You possess a recognised technical qualification (or equivalent experience) and hold a full UK driving licence.
Bonus points for Health & Safety certification, experience in process improvement, or an interest in digital telecare.

🪫THE ROLE
Field Support Technician
As a Field Support Technician, you’ll play a central role in delivering high-quality installations and technical excellence across our SmartTEC systems. This field-based position blends practical technical enablement, training delivery, and advanced troubleshooting with a strong emphasis on networking competence and operational performance.
You’ll collaborate closely with installation teams to build technical capability, resolve complex challenges, and ensure each deployment is completed to the highest standard. From configuring IP networks to coaching colleagues and influencing process improvements, you will help drive a culture rooted in technical quality and continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering structured technical training and coaching to installation teams as part of a scheduled rota.
Providing on-site and remote support for installations and fault resolution.
Configuring networks and interpreting infrastructure and system specifications.
Maintaining accurate documentation, sharing insights, and escalating recurring or systemic issues.
Managing your workload and schedule efficiently to meet deadlines and optimise operational performance.
